This week i want to focus on how stress can affect children with disabilities in an educational setting. I found an article that discusses this topic really well. The article discusses how children feel the stresses in school and they feel other stresses from their parents and teachers. The article discusses how when children feel this stress, they begin to show a lack of wanting to even go to school. This is why most schools have a special education classroom, to help the children feel less stress from teachers as well as classmates. Overall this article was very insightful and would be helpful for teachers, parents and other children.

Jessa, This is a good topic to discuss right now. I feel like this relates to our chapter summaries. I think that schools should try to eliminate as much stress on the child as possible. The stress on the child adds to the stress on the parent. This article discusses comunication. I think that communication is a huge way to reduce stress on the child and family. The last paragraph reminds me of the Websters , from our text. The parents have to be willing to work with the teacher and vice versa, this means having comunication.
ReplyDeleteYes, it does relate to what we are talking about now. Schools should help with how much stress is added in the child's life. communication is a major way to help a child feel less stressed at school. This communication should be from the school as well as the parents.
