I found this article interesting. It is about how mothers of special needs have needs too. It is interesting because the question could be asked, Do mothers have more responsibility over children with special needs? I think this could go either way depending on who is raising the children and who is also helping raise the child. But the article is very interesting to read. The article may seem biased but it is interesting to read. There are also other links that could help a parent.

  1. Wow, I like the statement" Moms of adolescents with Autism experience and have stress levels similar to “Combat Soldiers!” My jaw dropped reading this. I think that parents in general suffer stress at this level. I find it ironic that articles and studies focus on mothers rather than parents or families in general. I think that more studies should be done on the overall family stress rather than the just the mother.

  2. It is a very interesting and moving article. I decided to focus on mothers for this post and this article shows a view point from a moms point of view. Even though this one focused on just the mother it shows a view point from a momwho could be a single parent. This could also be the spaces for a single dad. Since all quarter I focused on families I decided to show this point from a mothers perspective.
